Hello and welcome to Educritters Animal Encounters. I am the owner, Katie Poulson. I have worked in education for 10 years in Primary Schools. I completed my BA in Early Childhood Education but then decided on a career change and began volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary and worked voluntarily for other establishments including Dogs Trust.

 

Animal welfare became a passion for me from a very young age. I have a few stories to tell about my experiences of picking up injured wild animals over the years, including an injured fox that myself and a friend put into a toy pram to bring home for help!

 

The increasing number of cruelty cases publicised over the last few years and realising the huge educational potential has spurred me on to combining my vocation and passion by creating Educritters.

 

Educritters provides a service to childcare/ education settings to inform and educate the next generation on animal welfare. This covers PHSE / citizenship in primary schools and has strong links to other areas of the curriculum.

 

We are fully insured and CRB checked.
